My mother taught me to crochet when I was about eight years old. When I was about ten, I remember helping other girls in my Junior Girl Scout Troop with their stitches when they had trouble. I taught myself to knit when I was expecting my first child. I added Counted Cross Stitch, sewing, and embroidery to my repetoir, and eventually made most of my children's clothing and a couple of quilts. Cooking came a little later. During the ...
