When I decided to leave my job to stay-at-home with the kids, I knew I needed something new to learn that was outside the daily routine of keeping a house and keeping my children safe, happy, and well. I decided to finally make use of the 1970's Pfaff sewing machine I inherited from my husband's grandmother and took some lessons to get started. And I fell in love! My hero is Julia Childs, as she didn't learn to cook until she was 39. I was 40 when I took up up sewing, but I figure the year doesn't make much of a difference!
