I have been crafty since I was a child. Mom sewed all our clothes and taught me to sew. I think I started sewing when I was about 8. My Grandmother was a quilter and I remember sitting on her lap as she showed me a quilt block. I was lucky to live near her and spent many summers watching her and her sisters quilt on a frame that was lowered to fill the tiny living room. I took my first quilt class in 1989 and have been in love with quilting since then. I belonged to local guilds and my state guild for many years. Now I prefer to just meet with my small bee on a weekly basis. I have been to the Houston Show 4 times and adored it. Though it is a bit overwhelming!
