I have always loved to knit and crochet and to make my own presents for friends and family, but I have mostly been a seasonal knitter?Christmas presents and winter birthdays. I can knit really fast too. I learned knitting and crocheting in second grade and have loved it ever since. I love color and love to design, having worked in architecture for a long time. My granddaughter also helps me with advice on what is in style especially for teens, so I try to translate that into my designs. I enjoy working with bulky yarns, they add so much texture to an accessory. The patterns I write also use mostly bulky yarns, so the project works up fast. I design easy accessories that anyone can afford to make, hopefully in one evening. My patterns focus on beginner knitters and using affordable yarns. I think it is a shame that knitting (and sewing) have become a rich person's hobby, so that most aren't even interested in learning the craft, because they can't afford to buy the materials.
