I started sewing when I was 12 years old, making school clothes for myself. Then in 1964 I self taught myself to knit, and I also decided to learn how to machine knit, then before my retirement in 1998 I decided to learn how to spin. After retirement I was a leader in a 4H fiber group in Oregon, teaching 9 to 11 year olds how to knit, process wool, and felt wool.
