In elementary school I had some wonderful crafty teachers. I remember being so proud to be trusted with a needle and thread as I sewed simple Christmas ornaments. Years later, I took a course in sewing and dressmaking in high school. I learned to use a sewing machine and a serger, I made a cute pair of pajamas that I enjoyed for several years to come.
