I've been sewing all my life. I grew up in the Congo and was making my own clothes with a hand turned sewing machine in 6th grade. Only recently though have I taken up quilting - September 2011. I love the creativity of it and the beauty of the fabrics and designs. I've definitely found what I hope to be enjoying for many years to come.
