I have had a connection with art since I can 1st remember, with a grand desire as a little girl to follow in my aunt (who is a relatively famous French artist) and my Grandmother who was an excellent seamstress.
I went to the University of California, Santa Barbara where I graduated in 03 with a BA in Art History and Fine Art only to find myself working in another creative career all together; the music industry. For the next 10 years that followed I would work as at talent scout executive, helping hone the skills of other artists in another medium I was quite passionate about but had no talent for, music. After working for companies like Activision and the Warner Music Group, I feel in love and decided to follow my heart.
At the age of 28/29 I moved from LA, said farewell to an AMAZING career to put everything on the line for family and love. I am a dreamer and unable to walk away from what my heart wants... The transition was so much harder than I could have even known, but in the long run paid off. two years ago I married my soul matte, decided to go back to school for cosmetology (just something I had alway been curious in learning) and have since been working as an editorial stylist doing mostly Makeup (and hair on occasion) for print, advertising, TV and MOSTLY Weddings.
I LOVE to work with my hands. I LOVE learning new things and I LOVE most of all to meet new people... Especially those I share creative connections with.
Thanks for reading- please reach out! I LOVE making NEW friends.
- Stephie (from Santa Barbara, CA)
