I started out making doll clothes, learned to embroidery at a young age and admired my Aunties and Grandmothers abilities to cook, sew, and create, from cookies, jelly, baby clothes, crazy quilt,s. . Mother sewed some of our clothes and Grandma designed and decorated hats. Grandmother and my Mom were always willing to let us use the sewing machine and help us.

I guess I have always had that creative spirit. Mother sewed some of our clothes and Grandma designed and decorated hats. Grandmother and my Mom were always willing to let us use the sewing machine and help us.
I guess I just came by it naturally and have been making gifts all my life. Now I feel I have found a love of quilting, (or is it collecting fabric and using that as an excuse to buy more) I still cook some, but I love to create scrapbook pages, invitations, edit photos, and do some creative writing. It never ends, I have to be creating something.
Most of my quilts have been my own creations, I don't use kits. I have been known to adapt or creat my own blocks. I'll see an idea and wonder how I can make it unique or a little different for me.
I love this site as it inspires me to create.
