I have been sewing all of my life, well almost! I started sewing for myself, then for my children, decorating my home, curtains, pillows, placemats, for grandchildren. I have sewn heirloom baptism gowns and taught heirloom sewing! I always said I would never quilt, however I had some left over fabric from a bedroom home dec project for my grandson. Browsing through a old Bernina Project book I found a pattern for a coverlet, I can make this with the left over fabric... the rest is history. I am new at quilting, making baby quilts and small quilts, now placemats, etc. My new love is making clothes for my granddaughters American Girl dolls. I love being creative, I cook, bake, and make candies. I have refinished many pieces of furniture, I love sanding wood and feeling the "softness" of the wood ready to accept a new coat of stain. I am semi-retired MRI technologist, still working 2 days a week. I love to take cruising vacations. I got that "bug" when I worked for a airline for 17 years. Of course, I love to shop in fabric, kitchen, and clothing stores. My sewing room has just about everything in it if I want to start a project. I have a Bernina 930, Viking D1, Deco 600 embroidery machine, and 2 sergers, all kinds of "tools" for sewing even a Accuquilt GO. My sewing room is like a small quilt shop!
