I have been a lifelong sewer, starting out at 7 yrs of age making Barbie clothes. My mother taught me to sew, then when I was 12, I enrolled in a sewing class at Sears, making my first dress, which was a long dress, but quite in style in the 1970s. Since then I have made many children's clothes, women's clothing, pillows, a wall quilt for Christmas, and a wedding dress, though not the traditional, but want to one day when my daughter marries. I have made many of my nursing uniforms as well.
I also love other types of crafts. I painted ornaments when my boys were very young, did stenciling, which was a lot of work. I also crochet, learning again at an early age, then taught myself to knit about 1 1/2 yrs ago, now that You tube exists. I also love to cook, bake, and love spending time in the garden in the summer.
