In the 1960's when I was a little girl, my mom would take me to the local craft stores while she shopped for her Decopage (sp?) supplies. I would go look at the glass beads- they were loose back then, not on strands or packaged. I loved them from the start! Mom got me started in crafting when I was very young. I learned paper quilling, decorative painting, cross stitch, crewel embroidery, pottery, gourd stitching, floral arranging, photography, scrapbooking, and lots of other crafty stuff. I would craft all the time if I could! But alas, chores are always calling... Then about eight years ago, I decided I wanted to learn something to do in the winter when I couldn't be outside gardening. I settled on jewelry making. I started with stringing, then got into wire jewelry and resin Also bead weaving and bead embroidery. I now teach at a local bead shop and sell items there in the craft mall. My gourds are in two galleries here in Oklahoma. I love the classes her on Craftsy and just can't get enough! I have six wonderful grandbabies and one on the way. I live with the best hubby in the world on a five-acre farm with chickens, pygmy goasts, a donkey named Truman, three crazy dogs, and three kitties. I've got really bad arthritis in my hands, which has difigured my fingers, so I have to have an extra measure of patience when I work. But I am not about to let that stop me! Now, off to work.....
