I learned how to knit in my mid twenties and I just really enjoy it. It's relaxing and I'm fascinated with what kind of things can take shape from something as simple as some needles and a ball of yarn. I knit because I don't have the patience for sewing. lol Now I am also starting to crochet. Knitting is definitely my preferred craft, but there are some crochet patterns I would like to try so I'm learning crochet.
