Learning to stitch was mandatory though being a tomboy I did it reluctantly. Eventually it became convenient to know how and I began combining my art with fabric. I've always been in love with fabric even when I wasn't sewing so I have a stash. When I saw the quilt of the month class I decided it was time to give it a try. Add to that, summer has been beastly and my sewing room is in the cool basement so painting has given way to stitching.
