I started getting crafty thanks to a very patient grandmother who taught me to knit and my aunt who taught me to embroider and cross stitch. I discovered a sewing machine in my teens and made some of my own clothes. After a long break due to having a family I've rediscovered the crafty side of me and have recently taught myself to crochet, just showing you can teach an old dog new tricks.
