I starting crafting after I retired from work, about 2 years ago. I starting crafting after I retired from work, about 2 years ago. I have done many types (jewelry, paper, sewing, clay) but when I started looking on the internet and seeing all the new Modern quilt patterns, I knew I had to give quilting a try. I bought the Craftsy Class "Quickly Quilting with Jenny Doan " to get started. I am completely hooked, and love buying fabric. My first grandchild is due any day and there are many of my daughter's and son's friends that are pregnant. I plan on making these as my gifts, quilts will last for a long time, and hopefully be saved and handed down. I am never bored, and enjoy this craft every day. I plan on asking Santa for a new sewing machine for Xmas.....I have to select one, I think will be the best. I am married, 60 years young, with a married daughter and new grandchild (boy) arriving soon. My son also lives in Indy and is getting married this coming spring. My life is very full of family and friends and crafts (quilting). I love it!
