My mother taught me to knit and sew when I was about seven years old. I took sewing at school, which was quite an experience. At about 45 an aunt taught me to crochet rugs, going round and round, but I wanted to makes 'things', so I bought some patterns and taught myself. Now I prefer crochet and knitting over sewing.
