I taught myself how to knit and crochet in the summer of 2010 after having to accept a less active life due to a severe back injury. I started loom knitting at first as I thought I would not be able to needle knit. However, all the patterns I saw on Ravelry that I loved were needle knit, so I decided in August to learn how via awesome videos on www.knittinghelp.com, www.lionbrand.com, www.knit-picks.com, and YouTube. I also taught myself to crochet via same websites and the Crochet Stitch Bible. I'm still a newbie and am pretty slow as I have arthritis setting in my right hand and wrist. However, I LOVE doing this and have done more crochet than knitting as it's faster for me. However, I love knitting and want to learn more, especially cables and lace knitting and Continental method. I appreciate any help I can get and also love to return the favor if I can. Also, my user name here is the same in Ravelry. I've posted my projects there and need to spend some time posting here too. I've come to appreciate and love the differences of Ravelry and Craftsy and think that both have really helped my knitting and crochet work and exposed me to so many wonderfully creative works of art and people. Also, they have led me to see so many amazing patterns and truly nice people who love the crafts as much as I do. I'm so thankful to be born during this technologically- advanced world. God has given us all so many blessings!!
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this and I look forward to seeing your projects and helping you if I can. Much love to everyone!
