I commenced quilting and patchworking in 1999 when watching paid TV, Lifestyle Channel. I was laid off work because of an injury and unable to continue working I had to find a hobby. This is something I have enjoyed tremendously and yes, it is very contagious!!! My first quilt was made from scraps of fabrics I had from making clothes...therefore varying types of fabrics too.
