I love to knit. My mom taught me to knit as a child and started knitting consistently in college. I gave up knitting when I developed carpal tunnel symptoms mostly from playing the piano. I started knitting again in 2005 by knitting a prayer shawl for my mom who had cancer. After she died I inherited her stash and her knitting needles and haven't stopped knitting since.

I am learning to quilt. My mom and I used to sew together and were always going to make quilts. I am enjoying the craftsy quilt classes I am taking. My goal is to learn to piece and quilt a bed sized quilt on my home sewing machine. So far I am doing best at buying fabric!
