I learned to sew as a young teenager. My family was very artistic with my mother, a regular seamstress making every thing from clothes, to curtains, to dolls, and recovering furniture. My first quilting class was at thirteen years old and all done by hand. I lost interest, Later on in life my sister began quilting, and my love for quilting reawakened.
