I started sewing in Junior high. Back then we had a class called Home Economics. The courses were cooking or sewing. You know what I chose. In this class our instructor gave us guidelines. The garment had to have a zipper and facings or sleeves. I can still see that dress, it was a turquoise, A-line dress, sleeves, so that meant facings.
