I needed furniture for my Barbie dolls, so I found some scrap pieces of wood and material and made my first "daybed" for my Barbie - with upholstery and everything! Started sewing with needle and thread and learned how to use a treadle machine then my dad bought me my first Featherweight (wish I still had it).
