Until I inherited my husbands grandmothers scrap collection a year ago I had only done panel and tie quilts. Those scraps were 4 bins full of various fabrics, sizes, and colors. I have taken all those scraps and trimmed them into usable strips and squares. The piecing has begun for LOTS of crazy pieced quits!! I still have drawers full of scraps.
Piecing all those scraps into quilts has given me the practice I need to feel confident about the "perfect" 1/4" seam, pressing correctly, and matching all those seams together. I'm not an expert by any stretch but do understand the basics of piecing.
The only "classroom" training I've had has been You Tube videos. Therefore, the reason I've subscriped to this class. I'm looking forward to lots of hints, tips, and duh moments.
