My husband was deployed for 4 months and I was at home raising our two year old so to help pass the time I would bake and give some to our neighbors. My specialty became cheesecake and I dabbled with cupcakes and other desserts, breads, pastries etc. 6 years later we got stationed in my home county of the United Kingdom and I would bake for potlucks at work. Soon people were asking for decorated cakes, so I kept experimenting and every cake got better and better and I enjoyed every moment. After 2 years the requests got so much that I decided to do it full time and did wonderfully until we PCSed to another base last year. I now live in Tampa FL and am trying to establish myself here in the cake world.
