I got started during the late fall of 2008, while going through radiation for thyroid cancer. I learned how to knit with the ladies at Gilda's Club and haven't stopped since. For a while, knitting was all I could do, and with rheumatoid arthritis added to my list of ailments, sometimes it is all I can do when I have a flare up. It is a wonderful outlet and I am glad I have it :-)
