I first started sewing when I was about 5 yrs old as my parents ran a children's wear manufacturing business. That's how I learned to sew, designing outfits for my Barbie doll. My Nana was a huge influence as she created clothes for others in the early part of last century and then passed that knowledge on to my mother, who then passed it on to me. I just wished I had listened closer to those lessons but I think I still picked up quite a lot
