My mother taught me to sew, beginning on my grandmother's treadle machine, when I was 8 years old. I've been at it. off and on, ever since. My focus has moved over the years from clothing to quilts and home decor. I also enjoy knitting and crocheting, although I am still very much a beginner at both.
