As a child, my Mom encouraged me to try just about every craft imaginable: tole painting, macrame, candle making, wood burning, crochet, knitting, leather-work, needlepoint, embroidery. I even did a few paint-by-numbers projects! (Remember those?) Crochet is the one that stuck!
