I began sewing at about age 5. I made my first quilt when I was in high school. Before I started quilting I made most of my clothes. After I was married, 31 years ago, and started having children I began to make quilts for them and made many clothes, especially dresses.

I still do all of that but concentrate on quilting now. I still sew for weddings and I enjoy doing a variety of projects that usually involve quilting. I will make just about anything that I that can be sewn.
I have been married for 31 years to my husband who is a school district administrator presently working in China for a year. I have 2 daughters and a son. My two daughters were married last year 5 months apart. My oldest daughter is an ESL teacher with the Chicago Public Schools, her husband is a first year law student at DePaul Univeristy. My other daughter is in her 3rd and last year of law school also at DePaul. She is most interested in immigration and human trafficing law. He husband is a purchaser for a major hotel group in Chicago. My son who is the youngest still lives with me and is currently employed at Menards.
I work as an educational consultant is a maximum security male prison. Working only part-time allows me the opportunity to sew often. I also teach classes for JoAnn Fabrics. Some of my other interests include reading, playing the piano, singing and jigsaw puzzles, in addition to many other crafts.
I feel very blessed to have what I have.
