I used to sew all my own clothes and had dreams of being a designer. However, making a living and getting on in life put that aside. Lately though, I've felt the call of the sewing machine and found a new interest in sewing projects that are sort of like constructions. I'm an artist, but I make my living in architecture. This colours my approach to design and I am really into purse construction right now. This has endless possibilities, and with the help of my sister who is a bit of a fabric junky, I am exploring new avenues of fabric design. I design all of the projects I am making, usually just starting out by staring at a piece of fabric. I do sometimes make a few sketches, but it's all a big experiment right now.
