I feel that the word 'crafting' really diminishes the level of artistry, labour, and years of research that I put into creating one of my costumes. Building historically accurate costumes (that I will wear somewhere) is a creative channel that has great emotional value to me. Authenticity and creating pure beauty are probably the core values that set the standard for anything that I build.
