One day I told my husband, "you have golf, you have bowling; I have laundry! There is something wrong with that picture. He told me to figure out what I wanted to do. I spoke to some friends at work who quilt, and I decided, Quilting...that's it! I had never even sat at a sewing machine, but that's what I wanted to do. I knew that I would love having a hobby that results in such a beautiful end product! I asked around and decided to buy a Bernina. I may not have much time to sit down and sew, but I treasure every moment that I do. The first quilts were, of course, made for my granddaughters. Next came a beautiful flannel quilt for our home (which my girls keep asking if they can have it.) Next was a quilt for my oldest daughter's wedding. Then a Christmas quilt (which I still have to bind.) Next is a quilt for my middle daughter. Ssshhhh! It's a surprise!
