I learned to sew from my mother when I was young. She also taught me how to crochet, but I always managed to crochet my scarves (because that's all I could do) too tight. I still have my needles and yarn and will probably pick them up again every now and then. I've become quite attached to my Brother sewing machine and have begun quilting which I really enjoy. I hope to learn a lot more and try new things along the way. I am a DIY addict and am constantly trying to find new ways of repurposing things around my house. My husband and I both see things in stores that cost hundreds of dollars and we instantly think we could built it better and cheaper ourselves. He's my DIY enabler so-to-speak. ;-)
