I started sewing, knitting and drawing as a kid. I had intended on running off to Europe to go to art school as a teen, but life got in the way! In the last ten years I have taught myself to spin yarn, dye fiber, sew, bead, quilt and recently got a loom. My husband said it would never happen...but I am very spoiled! I also spent two years attending Gage Academy, which was amazing! They teach art the way it should be, the same way all the great artists in the past were taught. So I spent two years drawing nudes and still life and I miss it. But I didn't have any time to sew or spin or quilt or knit or dye wool or... I suppose there just is not enough time to play with it all!
My focus right now is to sew a new wardrobe, including lingerie. I have discovered that I enjoy the process of creating more than finishing, so I am working on finishing my projects!
