Emma is proud to be a fifth generation Colorado native and after four years at Colby College in chilly Waterville, ME she is ecstatic to be back! While in school she pursued her interest in Psychology and decided the world of clinical work wasn’t quite for her. After a year in Project Management at a Denver based Market Research firm, Emma is thrilled to have the opportunity to embrace her more creative side at Craftsy. She is excited to begin her own personal crafting journey, most recently started with knitting and with a future goal of creating a masterfully piped gluten-free cake. Outside the office, you can be sure to find Emma all across the state sailing, skiing, golfing or running.
eCommerce Director of Procurement
Originally from Maui, Hawaii, Corrie left the Aloha State to earn a BA in Finance from California Polytechnic University. For the next 11 years, she enjoyed the fast-paced city life of San Francisco and New York, working in planning and purchasing for big name retailers GAP, Ann Taylor and Restoration Hardware. Corrie decided to move to Denver after hearing rumors that the people that live here have lives outside of “the office”, can afford to buy homes, and all own dogs.
In Denver, Corrie has not only developed a love for the great outdoors, but also for the crafting industry. She enjoys being a part of the Craftsy team and is looking forward to completing her first quilt (Tula Pink’s “Hex on the Beach”) becoming a master crafter herself. You can be sure that her next project will be knitting a sweater for her dog (as soon as she gets one).
Senior Manager, Supply Chain
Andy is an almost-native Coloradoan, after spending his early months in Bethlehem. Pennsylvania. After being told his landscape architecture talents were lacking at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), Andy discovered his keen ability working with numbers and pursued a degree in Economics. Missing his almost-native state, he completed his studies at Colorado State University (Go Rams!). Football season is complicated in the Speights household.
For several years, Andy managed the supply chain for a popular security software company, then returned to the outdoor industry to help forecast demand for backpacks, sleeping bags and tents for a long established equipment and clothing company. Now that he’s at Sympoz/Craftsy, he is eager to apply his skills to the world of crafts.
More handy than craftsy, Andy did knit his own wool mittens and part of a sweater with his grandmother once and now prefers getting creative on the ski mountain, carving turns and weaving through trees. When he’s not living in the land of Excel, Andy spends time with his ridiculously active and coordinated young son, and attempting to outsmart his wiley border collie and very independent Aussie mix. If there’s a Craftsy class on how to use dog hair in macrame projects, he’s in!

Alyssa is a Colorado native and member of a pioneer family, born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University (GO RAMS!!) and found a job where she was able to stay in Fort Collins and enjoy all the beauty her college town had to offer. Although she loved the town of Fort Collins, she realized that she wanted to live and work closer to her family.
When she’s not analyzing data, or trying to improve processes, you can find her trying to keep up with her very energetic 2 year old Australian Shepherd mix, Lola. She also has a passion for the mountains and most weekends you will find her and her boyfriend, Matt, enjoying the outdoors and our beautiful state. She is excited to be close to home so she has plenty of people to cook for, which is another one of her passions.
Becoming part of the team at Craftsy has been a dream come true for Alyssa because it is a creative, energetic company where she can pursue her career while still having fun (and maybe even learn how to quilt).
An almost native to Colorado, Rita earned her BA in Humanities from the University of Colorado at Boulder (Go Buffs!) and thus discovered her love for art, travel, and pretty much all things Italian.
Rita first discovered her love of crafting as a wee girl scout, back when completing a series of projects meant another colorful badge to be haphazardly sewn onto her uniform sash. Over the years, she tried her hand at crafting paraffin candles, homemade ice cream, and friendship bracelets of all varieties, before she finally found her creative niche in origami.
These days Rita can still fold a mean paper crane, but you’ll be more apt to find her eagerly learning the ropes at Craftsy.com as their new eCommerce Assistant Buyer. Rita is elated to be a part of such a dream team within the creative world… and may still be pinching herself. When she’s not hard at work at Craftsy.com, she will be hard at play running around Wash Park, snowboarding with her friends, brainstorming her next homemade Halloween costume, or plotting the future stamps in her passport.

Born and raised in the Garden State, Kait is a transplant who is happy to call Denver her home. After completing her MA in Literature, Kait defected from academia and hasn’t looked back. Although she spends most of her time at Craftsy doing super fun projects for the Presentation team, you’ll also find her running around the city as she trains for various races including the Boulder Ironman 70.3. Kait enjoys knitting, writing, reading, and biking to work no matter what the weather looks like.
