Jenn Tomaszewski

Jenn Tomaszewski

Director of Community Relations

Jenn was born and raised in New York (city, suburbs, and country) where she received her BFA with a concentration in photography from Alfred University. Since, she left the cold gray skies of the east coast behind and loves calling Colorado home.

Since arriving in Denver, Jenn has found an addiction to hiking up mountains, backpacking and spending as many days rock climbing as she can. In addition to putting her hands to work outside, Jenn has always been driven by creativity. She finds inspiration in others, and draws motivation from challenging projects like getting that next climb, knitting a more complicated lace pattern or mastering a new cooking recipe.

Jenn has been so impressed watching the Craftsy community grow and is constantly proud to be apart of such a team.

Karleen Mercuri

Karleen Mercuri

Manager of Community Relations

Karleen is a rock climber, chapstick addict, mocha enthusiast, and DIY junkie. Originally from Chicago, she is a proud transplant to Colorado, now soaking in over 300 days of sunshine a year. An English major, Karleen always enjoys a good classic (she’s hoping to finish Anna Karenina before she dies) and snuggling with her Shar Pei mix Huxley.

Her chosen craft is stamp-making/block printing, and she loves to make quirky stationary to send to friends. She is currently learning how to print her own fabric (and will then be taking sewing courses on Craftsy!).

She is excited to soak in all the crafting knowledge offered by Craftsy members and fellow Sympoz employees!

Rebekah was born and raised in Connecticut for 23 years. She has since become a happy Coloradan transplant, but will always miss the New England autumns! Her creative side comes out in sewing and she even made her own prom dress back in high school! She is looking forward to learning how to knit and improving on her sewing skills with Craftsy!

Jessica Hutton

Community Relations Associate

About Me:

Jessica is originally from Maine and grew up in Upstate NY. After earning a BFA in ceramics from SUNY Potsdam and moving around the country as a starving artist for a few years, she decided to do a quick stint in the Army which brought her to beautiful, sunny CO! Always with at least 5 projects running at any given time, Jessica loves to make things of all sorts working with wood, clay, metal, glass, paper, fabric, epoxies, paint, wax and anything else she can get her hands on. Jessica is incredibly excited to have found such a great new crafting resource and workplace in Craftsy.

Jenny Askari

Community Relations Associate

About Me:

Jenny is a recent California transplant eager to experience all that the Mile High City has to offer! With the exception that her ideal trip to the mountains involves hanging out in the lodge sipping hot chocolate. She earned a BS in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Neurology, Physiology and Behavior at University of California, Davis. She is thrilled to be a new addition to the Craftsy team. Prior to, Jenny worked in the fitness industry for over 5 years, managed a local gym and has also written for a fitness blog.

Although new to crafting, her passion is in the kitchen. She loves to create and share with friends and family. When she is not hard at work, she is swinging from the ceiling, with her new found interest in aerial yoga. Also in her free time, Jenny loves to paddle board and hike. She completed her first half marathon last October and is looking to logging in more miles this year while training for a full marathon. Jenny has two unhealthy obsessions: all things Nike and watching independent short films.

Brianna Frey

Brianna Frey

Community Relations Associate

Brianna was born and raised in Colorado and recently moved back from Chicago, where she found out she is scared to death of rats! However, the Windy City will always hold a special place in her heart. Being back in CO will allow more opportunities to hike, backpack, and fish. She has always been inspired by animals (Blue Footed Boobies and Marmots are a few favorites). A few years ago she had the opportunity to visit some amazing countries and can’t wait to travel again! The main love of her life is Mr. Darcy, her adorable, handsome, cat. She knows that Mr. Darcy would look very cute in a knitted hat, but first she will have to take a few Craftsy classess.

Megan McMullin

Megan McMullin

Community Relations Associate

Megan recently moved to Denver from Chapel Hill, North Carolina after falling in love with Colorado while biking through the state on a cross country bike trip from Providence to San Francisco. So far she has enjoyed exploring the ski slopes, attending Denver Craft Ninjas’ projects including making hand-printed tea towels, and scrap-booking. She previously worked in health research focusing on sales and member retention, and is excited to be a part of the start up and crafting communities.

Randi Thackeray

Randi Thackeray

Community Relations Associate

Randi graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at ASU with a major in Broadcast Journalism, but now she doesn’t even own a television. What she doesn’t pay in cable bills, she makes up for in library fines.
Once she graduated, she packed up her little car to make the trek from Arizona to Colorado. Denver has delivered on foodie fun and a friendly atmosphere. Basically, she loves to eat. And, she loves people.
Her apartment is her biggest creative project with lots of pink and girly accents. Since Craftsy offers so many budget-friendly classes, she is excited to continue her expensive fresh flower addiction. She also can’t wait to delve into the cooking category at Craftsy even if her counter space is bite-sized.
When she is not passionately creating over at Craftsy, she loves to partake in brunch on Denver’s finest patios. She can also be spotted showing her best moves at Mile High Soul Club. She loves the city but is known to do some downhill skiing and mountain biking depending on the season.
She is happy to call Denver her home, and she is even happier to help all of the Craftsy customers explore their own creativity.

Kristin Schultz

Kristin Schultz

Community Relations Associate

Kristin, or more commonly known as Schultzie, is a proud Colorado native and has a never ending infatuation with sunshine. Her love for the outdoors only grew stronger while she attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. Oddly enough, she still doesn’t know how to ski or snowboard…but can make the best snow angel in town.

When it comes to crafting, Kristin is willing to try anything. As a little girl her mom would keep her from school now and then to do craft days together. Encouraged to let the creative juices flow, she found happiness in paper crafts and DIY projects.

Solomon Santistevan

Solomon Santistevan

Social Media & Community Relations Associate

Sol loves fly fishing, silversmithing, and video games almost as much as he loves working in social media. But ultimately, he’s a writer at heart, and developing character and voice for brands in the online social space has become his new passion. He graduated with a BA in creative writing from DePauw University and is a Colorado native who, while well-traveled, couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.

Tim Justin-Bridgman

Tim was born and raised in the land of cheese and beer; a little place known as Milwaukee, WI. Like many from the Midwest, Tim has migrated to Denver, CO. He enjoys skiing, hiking and camping in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Tim is an avid sports fan and loves to stay active. He loves to travel and has a dream of visiting every National Park in the United States. Tim look’s forward to learning a thing or two about photography and cooking. Secretly, he really want’s to hone his cake decorating skills so he can design the most awesome Green Bay Packers cake.

Veronica Calvage

Veronica Calvage

Community Relations Associate

Veronica is a recent Colorado transplant hailing from South Carolina. She earned her BA in Art History from Winthrop University, where you could find her hanging out at local galleries and curating an art show or two. Veronica will miss the food of the South (boiled peanuts and grits, anyone?), hearing “y’all” as a regular salutation, and the ability to drive to the beach in two hours. However, Veronica is thrilled to call Denver her new home and absolutely can’t wait to further explore everything from the mountains to the microbreweries.

When Veronica isn’t in her kitchen trying to create a new dish or cocktail, she’s trying her hand at a new DIY skill. After owning her tiny, yet-oh-so-intimidating sewing machine for months, it was Diana Rupp’s

Craftsy course that gave Veronica confidence to finish her projects and tackle new techniques. Veronica is honored to be a part of the Craftsy family and hopes she can help others find confidence to create something new.

Carly Chapple

Carly Chapple

Community Relations Associate

Carly grew up in Golden, Colorado and never felt the need to leave this wonderful state. She is a typical Coloradan who spends most of her weekends skiing, reading, and cheering on the Denver Broncos!

She graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and after realizing she didn’t want to do anything relating to her Hospitality Management degree, she chose to go a different path. She worked for a company as a receptionist to get some office training, but after almost a year, she felt she was ready for more.

Carly is very excited to work for the Craftsy team while hopefully improving her own crafting skills. As an ex Girl Scout and camp counselor, she has a few crafting tricks up her sleeve. She enjoys scrapbooking, knitting, photography, and her claim to fame: etch a sketching.
