What materials did you use? cotton strips from various jelly rolls, Aurifil thread in "Sand", a small "Greater Snohomish County" phone book, Brother CS6000i sewing machine. I did not have a regular sized phone book, it was one of those small local ones. Also, I chose to use up some jelly roll strips from my stash, and only had a few of the yellow ones. I chose them to be my focus. Setting the blocks 3x4 didn't adequately showcase the zig-zag, so I chose to make it 2x6 instead. I'll back it with plain muslin and make it a "wall hanging" for my cube at work!

What are you most proud of? I'm happy I was able to let go of my inner voice that nagged whenever a strip didn't meet up or a corner was a little off. It helped me step outside my "picky" zone.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't obsess! Just throw the strips on there and tell yourself to let it happen. It's awesome, even if it doesn't feel like it while piecing. And it's okay if the paper makes it slip and slide!

Go for it Meghan!
