Its as easy as making Paper mache- because ... IT IS! Just mix up a batch of Paper Mache ..... flour and water - and make it thick... so less water. You want it goopy and gloppy. Add in some colour depending on what you want. I used brown for a dirty and bunt feel, the year before I used grey for an ashes feel. Cover yourself in shlop. Thats the fun part - get the kids involved, or friends. Get them to hair dry you and add another coat. Repeat as many times as you want until you get the texture you desire. Then add some molasses, fill in the cracks with some red face paint, hair dry again and Bobs Your Uncle!
Different effects .... Remember in Little kid school, painting glue on your hand, letting it dry and peeling it off to look like skin? Well if you do that a few times adding some face paint to the glue before hand, you will have a nice collection of hanging skin to add to your face or other random places. I did that in my Prom queen zombie. A lot of people kept staring at me sooo closely with their mouth open and ever so gently and scared - poking the flaps of loose skin. It was quite amusing! I would just kind of grunt and moan at them.
**WARNING****** If you go out dancing in this - be warned hahahahahhaha your scabs and pussy skinn WILL start t slide and fall off. I did that one year, and people were returning my scabs and skin from their costumes all night - they found it amusing thankfully, and I did win the costume contest - but hot places and sweaty activities will cause your zombie to rot rapidly!
REMOVAL .... I advise standing over a garbage can and rubbing your scabs off into it, picking them etc. Then have a shower. If you dont pick off as much excess as possible, your drain will clog with something festering and gooey. Its as easy as making Paper mache- because ... IT IS!
