Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: In your class, you indicated that donating to an event might be a good way to get our names out there. I did just that. The local zoo had their annual Zippity ZooFest (the zoo's birthday). I was to donate a sheet cake, but I went a little larger than that. I received an email from the zoo indicating how happy they were with it and discovered they even included my cake in the cover photos on their Instagram account. The caption they put with MY cake was, "who wants some birthday cake?" So, out of all the donated cakes, they chose mine as their official birthday cake. Thank you for talking about donating cakes. I baked the day before delivery and decorated the morning of delivery. It was a simple pound cake 10" and 2 layers in the middle, the outside cakes are single layer 8" cakes and the top is a 2 layer 6" cake. I used buttercream icing that I tinted green. The small cake at the top was covered in chocolate buttercream. The fencing is Pirouette cookies cut to varying heights (make sure you have a sharp knife as these cookies will break and splinter) and the "water" is a gel icing. I used plastic animals (that my 2-year old also benefited from because I didn't use everything I bought ... they came all together in a package).

What are you most proud of? The delivery was about 20 miles from my house and everything made it perfectly intact ... even down a gravel road.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Double check your math on increasing your recipe...I messed up the math and had to go back to the store for a few things I ran out of.
