What was your inspiration?
This is the 4th iteration of this hat and I think I finally hit the mark! I wanted to make a subtle lightweight hat that would really show off the beauty of a nice yarn.
What are you most proud of?
I really like how simple the finishing on this hat is. It is knit from the bottom-up and the doubled over brim is connected to the hat as its knit, so when you finish at the top you only have to weave in one thread.
The decrease swirl also turned out really nice.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Pick out a yarn that produces good stitch definition so the zig-zag pattern won't get lost.
