Thanks, Jane. I wanted to see what would happen if one used black and white fabrics for some of the tangle areas. I still want to try that in something more than a border. I think it would be fun, so stitching, some pieced or appliqued areas with black and whites.

Love how you used different designs in the bird! And love how you used quilting in the background. Think I will try this also!

Thanks. The next time I try these I am stitching the bird first, then quilting it. That way I won't mash down all the loft in the bird with the heavier quilting. I think it would look neat to quilt between the different design sections. I think it would be neat to do a bunch of these Zentangle blocks and put them in a modern quilt, surrounded by negative space. Have fun!
