What materials did you use? Both 5mm and 6mm double pointed needles, acrylic aran and bouclé yarn, and a left-over metal button from a coat that departed this earth but not before I scavenged its buttons. Oh, and after much frustration, I marked each of my flower-knitting DPNs with a separate bit of thin electrical tape. If I did it again, I'd make sure they were taped at the end of the needles to help with direction as well as individual needle identification. But I got there in the end.

What are you most proud of? Dimension-wise, this is the smallest thing I've ever knitting, but the execution? well it tested my resolve in ways you wouldn't expect a little 9-stitch cast-on flower possibly could. This is the project that taught me I can relax and accept that things don't have to always be perfect. Sometimes "good enough" can be satisfying too. Sometimes the point is in the completion, not the perfection, not the flawless mastery of a new skill. When striving for "perfect" saps the enjoyment, well, the scales have shifted. The equation has become unbalanced. So... that flower in the centre? It's a mess. But I'm proud of that mess. It was hard-earned.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't assume a small project involving skills you already know won't throw up roadblocks and test your resolve. But you might be surprised what "letting go" of the pre-conception of how hard or easy it "should" be will do. Kinda like life...

Thank you so much. It's a small piece, but I'm still proud of those knitted flowers!

LOVE!! What color yarn did u use?

Thanks! The purple is kind of heathered versus solid, and it's just a standard worsted weight acrylic that they actually called "Grape". The other yarn is a novelty boucle purchased as part of a scarf kit. It didn't come with a lot of information on the label, other than it's majority polyester, but here's my Ravelry listing for it.
