What materials did you use? I chose materials that I had hunks of at home... I did need to fill in alittle with new fabrics once the project progressed.

What are you most proud of? That each of the rounde actually look like they all fit together. I was worried with the randomness of the process (I am sure it was not so random for Carol Doak) and the limits of having to use what you have for materials had me making choices I wouldn't have normally made.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Have fun and let go of any preconcieved designs... just let it happen when it happens. It really showed me that I could look at things a little differently... (ok I admit... I am a control freak when it comes to planning my quilts... and this one started without the plan and turned out okay!)

Round one pattern can be found free on Carol Doak's website http://www.caroldoak.com/free-quilt-patterns.php it is the center of the 2000 Member Celebration Quilt. I did not put on the borders because as you see, I had many borders to go... I will measure and get something up for the second round soon... I have to redo all the math :-S
