I used black ponte Roma fabric from Joann's. 58'' Wide. 58% Polyester, 40% Rayon. Machine Wash . Washes up nicely and very easy to work with.
What was your inspiration?
I bought this fabric to make a top but didn't have enough tracing paper to trace the pattern and I was in a rush to get to the sewing studio get together so I cut out the skirt and I love it! I like that it isn't too stretchy and it looks a little dressier.
What are you most proud of?
I did a good job of easing the waistband so that the pleating is pretty even front to back.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Do it. This is so easy that anyone that can cut and sew a straight like can do it!
