What was your inspiration?
I wanted to create an interesting pattern for people wanting to learn knitting socks. At the same time some of my friends had their first babies. All I had to do was adding 1 and 1. ;)
What are you most proud of?
The pattern includes a small tutorial on short row heels which hopefully helps people knitting socks for the first time.
It has also two different very elastic edgings (the ruffles pictured here and picot) which are made possible by working the socks from the toe up. They are not only cute but also very useful on babysocks.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just pick up the needles. It's really very easy! The hardest part is juggling the start, where you just have a few stitches on your needles. It's downhill from there. :)
