Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this cake: Baked a sheet cake two days ahead and wrapped it in plastic and foil and placed it in the freezer until ready to sculpt. Made home made fondant ahead. When ready, tinted fondant in yellow (for car) and black (for stripes) saved some white for lights and wheels. When ready to build the cake, I cut the sheet then stacked placing buttercream frosting between. Used a sharp knife and began to sculpt car shape. Covered with buttercream and placed in freezer for 10 minutes then smoothed out buttercream. Rolled out yellow fondant, covered cake and used my tools to make impressions of lines to give the car it's details. Rolled out black fondant and placed stripes on car. I placed buttercream frosting on backs of chocolate mint wafers for the tires. "Painted" the windows, using black food coloring.
