Yellow Baby Quilt

Care bears & Snoopy

Care bears & Snoopy
Close up of my Signature applique
Close up of Middle block
Backside - Winnie-the-Pooh print

Instructions

I had some left over fabric and put this all together in a patchwork form. I quilted it on the sewing machine in a traditional "X" on the squares. I looked at what kind of scrap materials I had, then cut out the squares, then laid out a pattern on graph paper - I switched it around until the numbers fit and a nice pattern came out. It measures 42.5" x 41.5".

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Children

Style: Cute, Traditional, Casual, Whimsical

Materials

Cotton materials, rickrack, quilt binding tape, polyester batting, thread, sewing supplies, & tools.

What was your inspiration?

My niece's baby. I know my niece likes the color yellow and loves the care bears.

What are you most proud of?

The colorful rick-rack goes well with the colors in the materials. It gives it a cute little "aww" when looking at it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's a really easy and fast quilt to make.

I was looking around for the specs - but can't seem to locate it right now - I beleive that I used 5" squares and the border was 2" - it came out to 42.5 " x 41.5 " and I really don't know why it didn't come out sqaure...LOL I guess my seams must've been off. I wish you the best of luck on your masterpiece and thanks for the comment.
