Crocheting: Xmas cards

Xmas cards

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Funky, Retro / Vintage

Materials

Some mercerized red cotton and neopren glue (I tried other glues but it didn't stick enough), and blue cardboard paper.

What was your inspiration?

I initially meant to crochet snowflakes... but ha ! no white cotton that worked at desired stitch definition. So red it was. :-)

The motif comes from one of my stitch dictionaries.

What are you most proud of?

That I can make my own cards, proclaiming my love for all things crocheted ! :-D

I thought they were pretty too !

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Choose carefully the glue you're going to use. The one I used left some yellow-ish traces in places. For one of the cards, I drew the outline of the crocheted motif first, then placed the glue only in the necessary places.

What a lovely surprise! I made my crocheted Christmas cards for 2011 using a very similar pattern, but I used metallic threat in gold, silver and gold and stuck them on black card. You have some beautiful projects here. Thank you.
