What was your inspiration?

Wrought is named in honor of the Greek and Roman god of the forge and volcanos. The Greeks called him Hephaestus. To the Romans he was known as Vulcan. Hephaestus was cast out of Mount Olympus at birth by his mother, Hera (Juno), because she did not want to look upon his ugly and deformed features. It is said that Hephaestus fell from Mount Olympus for a day and a night before he fell into the ocean and was rescued by the sea creatures. Under a volcano on the island of Lemenos he set up his forge where he wrought masterful jewelry, armor, and weapons. Hera, feeling guilty about banishing her son, pleaded with Zeus to allow him to return. Zeus granted her wish, however, Hephaestus refused to return saying he preferred the quieter life by his forge.
